There's just something so refreshing about an iced-cold drink from Starbucks during the dog days of summer—even our very own Alex Drummond can't seem to get enough!

She took to Instagram to share her go-to drink when the weather is hot. And luckily, you can get the icy cold beverage for 50% off!

First, let's start with what exactly Alex is ordering from Starbucks these days. If you know anything about Ree's eldest daughter, you might already be aware that she's not a huge fan of coffee like her mom. While she's taken a liking iced vanilla lattes, Alex admits that she's "hated coffee for all of my life." So what exactly is her go-to order from Starbucks?

Look no further than the Strawberry Acai Lemonade Refresher! (More specifically, with light ice and no strawberries included.) The bright pink drink starts with a sweet strawberry-acai base that's mixed with tart lemonade for the perfect balance that screams summer. Best of all, it has just enough caffeine for that afternoon pick-me-up!

And as if Alex's refreshing order weren't enough reason to head over to our local Starbucks, the coffee chain is now offering 50% any cold beverage ordered after 12 p.m. on Wednesdays. It's all part of their "WinsDays" promotion.

Here's how it works: Now through August 9, you can score a cold drink (with the exception of bottled or canned beverages) for half off every Wednesday when you order through the Starbucks app after noon. You have to be a rewards member—but don't worry, it's free to join. The deal doesn't apply for delivery orders and it's limited to one discounted drink per person per week.

The promotion includes Alex's go-to drink, as well as the brand's famous iced coffee drinks and their brand-new frozen lemonade refreshers! That's right, you can now get Alex's strawberry acai lemonade as a frozen beverage. The new menu items, which also include frozen mango dragon fruit lemonade and frozen pineapple passionfruit lemonade, are a frosty twist on the classic refreshers.

"If you need a hump day pick-me-up, Starbucks is going 50% off cold drinks," Alex touted on Instagram.
